To enable the rapid facilitation of client transactions, Flinders Ports provides an electronic manifest service utilising Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), web technology and e-forms.
Shipping Agents can lodge an Application for Use of Port Facilities Request or submit cargo manifests electronically.
Application for Use of Port Facilities
Agents are required to submit a completed 'Application for Use of Port Facilities' form within two working days of vessel arrival. A response is activated which will determine the berth allocation, services and facilities to be provided. To lodge an electronic application, please access the following e-form.
Manifest Submissions
In order to streamline client account billing, Flinders Ports requires agents to complete and submit cargo manifests within seven days following export departure, and three days following import arrival. The electronic manifest service enables fast and accurate processing of cargo information.
Container & Break Bulk Manifest (EDI)
This service caters primarily for the electronic lodgement of high volume cargo manifests including containerised shipments and break-bulk cargo. The electronic transmission of information is based on the Australian maritime industry message standard (UN-EDIFACT) adopted by the Australian Chamber of Shipping and the Association of Australian Ports and Marine Authorities (AAPMA).
