General Manager, Flinders Ports
Carl has over 30 years’ experience in maritime operations and is a Master Mariner with pilotage licences for five South Australian ports. He has overall responsibility for marine operations across 10 South Australian ports, including the seven ports owned and operated by Flinders Ports as well as Whyalla, Port Bonython and Ardrossan. Carl also oversees HydroSurvey Australia, a hydrographic survey business operated by Flinders Ports and is the Port Security Officer for all ports operated by Flinders Ports.
Trade Development Manager
Peter has over 35 years’ experience in the ports and shipping sectors in South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland. His background in both operational and commercial matters provides a unique skill set as a key contact for shipping lines and other port stakeholders. His sound knowledge of shipping services and the Australian maritime landscape puts him in an ideal position to analyse trends and optimise potential opportunities to attract services to Adelaide.
Cargo & Logistics Manager
Michael has over 30 years’ experience in the South Australian ports and shipping sectors. His strong operational and commercial background means he is able to assist our clients with supply chain and cargo handling requirements for all types of sea freight, including general cargo, break bulk and dry bulk commodities. Lead client advisor on Flinders Ports’ Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures, Michael is also the key point of contact for development opportunities at our seven port locations.
Lee is an expert engineering professional with over 15 years’ experience in the South Australian Ports sector and 20 years’ experience as an engineer. Lee began his career with Ports Corp SA, before moving to Optimatics, a design consultancy spin-off of the University of Adelaide. He joined Flinders Ports as a Senior Project Engineer in 2004 and has worked on several major infrastructure projects as well as serving as the company’s Environmental Coordinator. With a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours), and Graduate Certificates in Environmental Management and Port and Harbour Engineering, Lee heads up the Infrastructure Division of Flinders Ports. Lee and his team are responsible for the key areas of planning, construction and maintenance of all existing and new infrastructure owned by Flinders Ports.
